How it works in general terms

The OBS is an advanced program extension to your rental site - having said that its dead easy to operate!

Getting Started
Once you have been issued with your private access to the Online Booking System (OBS), you will be able to begin branding and populating your OBS rental page. All you need to do here is to fill in the blanks, such as locating photos in your files and add some text to go with them, set prices add options and create Special Offers etc. In your admin you will also see variety of controls that you can turn off and on.

Entering a rental item, such as a vehicle, bike, car, room or a boat, you will see that you can add an image and description to go with each of them, Decriptions can be turned On or Off. You can also put in how many of those identical items you have, instead of entering identical items many times over.

SMS (mobile text) is enabled by default, this will send you a text message to your mobile phone when you have a booking request, which is handy if you are running a one man shop, and not so handy if you have a large volume of rentals, then you may want to turn this feature Off.

Once you are satisfied with your OBS looks and feel, then you need to arrange for the booking link from your web site to be changed to point to the OBS program - here we can help you if needed, free of charge

Before this you may have been accepting enquiries using email, web based forms, phone calls and fax. You may wish to continue some of those, while getting used to the OBS way of life.

OBS is a complete system where customers visiting your site will find the system easy to use to make their selections and submitt their bookings. Once that happens, it will be up to you to accept or deny their request.

Booking methods and means
In your admin you will see selection for Availability Check, you can set it to On/Off, it is set to "On" by default
Obvioiusly you will receive booking requests from other sources, and in those cases we reccomend that you add those into the system, which is easily done via your admin, so that you keep current with your bookings, all in one place, especially if you have availability check anabled.

Customer payments
There are two basic methods here, one that you accept the details into your online admin and use that to manually process the payment at the end of the rental, the other is to hook up to online live transaction, using Paypal, World Pay or other similar facilitities. You can select which one in your user admin, its entirely up to you.

You are in control
Any changes in your web booking system, adding new items, new offers or adding text and images is totally unlimited and easily done by you, without any help at all from web developers or others. Thus keeping your cost at minimum at all times.

So whats the catch then?
You are leasing the use of the OBS for a very low monthly fee. Unlike most other programs out there, we DO NOT charge you a minor fee for bookings or other penny pinching stuff. In fact we help you free of charge in most cases and the annual cost of your newspaper is surely much higher than the total use of the OBS alltogether.
